Water Main Break Closes Street In Wallkill

A busy roadway in Wallkill was closed on Wednesday as crews deal with a water main break in the area.

The Wallkill Office of Emergency Management issued an alert at approximately 5:30 a.m., cautioning that East Main Street will be closed between Ridgewood Avenue and Brookline Avenue as crews deal with the water main break.

It was not clear what caused the break, or when the roadway would be reopened.
